I am having a local retailer come by to check on and hopefully install Dish tomorrow. I have had cable with unlimited connections for free. I will be installing a 722 for an HDTV and other TV and a 622 for 2 more TV's. In order to make other TV locations available in case I want them I am planning on having him tap into the cable lines where possible. What I would like to know is what are some of the things that constitute non basic installation. Both as far as lines throughout the house and satallite placement and installation. Thanks.

Like to add 1 more question. Is the 622 to box to get if I don't plan on having any other HDTV's. I heard in one thread that they are out of production. What are other possiblities. Thanks.

The installer will be paid to connect the TVs listed on his work order (max of 4). Anything beyond that is custom work payable to the installer, and up to him to work out with you. If there are existing lines to other rooms, he should be able to connect the TV2 outputs to the existing lines for a small fee. You won't have independent control of the channels on those mirrored rooms, of course. For that, you'd need additional receivers.

The 622 was the original dual tuner HDTV DVR, it was replaced by the 722 which is being replaced by the 722K. Because DISH owns and leases to you the receivers they are never out of date. They may not have as much memory or all the latest bells and whistles but they still fubction. Now is the 622 the correct box for your needs, probably yes because it will still receive SD programming and record programming for display on at least 2 other TVs.:)

The ONLY difference between the 622 & 722 is the size of the hard drive and the color of the box. They both use the same software so in essence they both have the same memory (outside of the Hard Drive).
The 622/722 can feed both HDTV's as well as SDTV's.
