Hey all,
I searched this topic but couldn't really find anything on it.
I was wondering if anyone was experiencing random channel changes from their DTV boxes. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it as the occurrences are purely random.
I have 2 boxes (HR-21's). Both seem to exhibit the same defect. Both were being controlled via a USB to 232 adapter but I have since switched one to IR to see if it would remedy the issue. It did not (so says my wife).
They always seem to go to the same channel, mine goes to the History Channel, my wifes goes to the Travel Channel. It happens while watching live TV, while watching recorded and even occurs in long lulls with no button presses (10+ minutes). It happens maybe 2-3 times a day, at no particular time.
We are beginning to hear clients claiming the same thing and really have no answer for it. We tried calling DTV tech suport but you can only imagine the responses we got from them.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
