This week, Pegasus and Starz Encore announced a joint marketing agreement to launch three new programming packages combining DirecTV core programming, the Starz Super Pak featuring 12 movie channels, and a two-room satellite system for one monthly price.

The new STARZ! Value Paks will be offered at three price points:

*$39.99, which includes Select Choice with more than 45 channels including 23 of the top 30 rated networks, 12 channels of Starz Super Pak, and a two-room set-up for $39.99 a month;

*$49.99, which includes Total Choice, with more than 110 basic networks, 12 channels of Starz Super Pak, and a two-room set-up for $49.99 a month;

*$53.99, which includes Total Choice Plus, more than 125 basic networks, 12 channels of Starz Super Pak, and a two-room set-up for $53.99 a month;

The STARZ! Value Paks, which will be offered to new Pegasus subscribers beginning this week, also will include two months of STARZ! Value Pak programming for free; two months of local broadcast channels or free - where available; and a two-room satellite system set-up and installation also for free, after applicable programming credits.

So did I. But maybe Pegasus still has Select Choice even though DirecTV Proper doesn't.

I just checked out the Pegasus satellite tv website, they list the channels for Select Choice but not the price except with the Starz Value Pak I which includes SC for $39.99**. The ** symbal indicates that their is a additional $1.25 surcharge applied to this package, instead of telling you streight out that this package is actualy $41.24. They list the Starz Value Pak II at $49.99* which includes TC and Starz Value Pak III for $53.99 which includes TC+. The * symbal indicates a $1.50 surcharge. TC is listed at $34.99*, TC+ $38.99*, TC Premier $84.99*. Pegasus charges $6 for locals added to all packages instead of the normal $2 - $5 that D* charges in non-NRTC or Pegasus teratories. And Pegasus claims that they are looking out for the rural areas, Sheeeesh!!!

This NRTC stuff really sucks. Does it apply in any way to DISH Network?

No, it does not apply to Dish Network. The reason why it applies to DirecTv and not Dish is because the NRTC helped DirecTv get started but not Dish.
