My parents got their first Dish bill and it says 3 Premium Package $30.00. Is Silver HD considered a premium package that is bundled with the others?
The only premium movie packages they get are HBO and Showtime and there is no other place on the bill where Silver HD for $10 is listed.

The rest of the bill just says
Classic Silver 200 DVR Advantage $57.99
Dish Home Protection $5.99
Duo Receiver (you saved $5 with DishDVR Advantage) $0.00
DHA Leased Receiver $7.00

a couple months back I was in the same situation your parents are in. Silver HD is NOT a premium package. The way HD programing works with dish is that, your HD programing varies by your basic programing package (in your parents case the Dish DVR advantage/ Americas Classic 200). As to why they are being billed for three premium packages but only have two visible maybe because if they have signed up for the Cinemax 1 cent a year deal along with the other HBO and Showtime, they maybe charged the full price for Cinemax. I had this problem as well and unfortunately Dish was unable to compromise , leaving my three movie packages as the promotions I originally thought they would be. Hope this helps

The Dish billing system will treat the HD package as a 'premium', making the other actual premiums a buck cheaper.

It does the same thing with the 250 Bonus Pack with the DVR Advantage.

So you're saying after the 3 months free of HBO/Showtime, if they just subscribe to HBO and then also Silver HD, the two will be $22 instead of $14.99 for HBO and $10 for Silver HD? That's good to know.

If you have the Cinemax for a penny deal, is it even worth it to get the Everything Package? I doubt they credit you for Cinemax.

It costs $97.98 but otherwise Classic Gold 250 is $57.99 and then HBO, Starz, and Showtime would cost $30 so that is $87.99 then a DVR make it $92.99. I guess the only way it would save money was if you had more than two DVRs.

If you take the Cinemax promo, you cannot get AEP.

Does AEP include the HD channels and your locals or is that in addition to the price?

How much does AEP save you from just having Classic Gold 250 plus the 4 premium movie packages separately billed?

AEP is $97.98, with locals, $102.98. HD adds another $10

Saves you nothing if you don't have DVRs, but adds NBA TV and NHL Network.

I had AEP for about a month but I didn't like Showtine, so I went back to Classic 250.. A CSR called & offerred HBO for free for 3 months. A few days ago I E-mailed Dish & asked for the Cinamax deal and I got it. The strange thing is I previously had Cinamax deal for a year and a half. Next year I'll pay the full price.
