Can you record from a 6000 to a DVHS or DVD recorder?
Can your record from a 508 (playlist) to a computer's DVD burner?
Thanks for your help. I'm sure these are pretty simple questions.

The easiest way to do what you're asking is to get a Video capture card for your PC and use the analog connections (capture the file to the PC harddrive, then convert and author your DVD). Or, you can get the standalone DVD recorders (like the ones from Panasonic) and do the same thing.
However, if you want to take te data right off the PVR508's harddrive and put it into a PC / DVD video - somebody else will have to help you.

The 6000 does not have a firewire output, just Svideo, component and composit. A couple of newer models that should be out soon (realatively) will have a fire wire output that you could record on DVHS.

There is some product called 169time that puts a firewire connection on a 6000 to allow it to be recorded from. Search around. But it is expensive.
A stock 6000 you can't record from.

Expensive indeed, $1,496.00 and you ship them your 6000.
