View Full Version : HD Channels
I was at my brother in law's place this weekend (he has dish) and noticed that the following channels there are on HD:
Lifetime HD
Wgn America HD
He also has the Hallmark Movie network as well.
Any idea when these are coming to DirectTV as well as MSNBC HD?
First half of 2010 is a safe bet. Sooner than Q1 2010 is not likely.
Much is dependent on the successful deployment of DIRECTV 12.

Still with the bandwidth argument. You have made this argument over and over and yet they continued to add stations since you first started making this same argument, with BET HD being added a couple of weeks ago.

You have made this argument over and over and yet they continued to add stations since you first started making this same argument, with BET HD being added a couple of weeks ago.If you'll recall, BET was the first non-RSN channel added since MLB and Comedy Central in January. More than half of the RSNs are part-time channels.
This would seem to be a plan that has a fundamental limitation of some sort. Do you have a decidedly better explanation for the paucity of new additions? I submit that the bandwidth argument is an enduring one.

Please use the Q3 2009 HD (http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=160529) thread for further discussion. Thanks.
