I have been using a Channel Master Gainmaster dish at my house in Metro Orlando to reduce rain fade. Given that it does not support the KA band satellites and that getting replacement LNBs that fit its bracket is hard, I have been considering moving to 5 separate 30" or even 1-meter dishes. I have 5 acres so a small satellite farm is not a problem. What is a problem is finding KA band LNBs that are not part of a multi-LNB assembly and finding instructions for aiming individual dishes.

Does anyone have any pointers to where I might be able to find either separate dish aiming instructions or individual KA band LNBs?

Alternately, does anyone know of a replacement for the Gainmaster dish that would be easier to work with?

Thanks in advance.

I have seen some people use the Alaska/Hawaii dishes for this purpose. They are a 36" dish. Do a search for those dishes and see if that will work for you.

The Alaskia/Hawaii dishes are really the only alternative, as there are no "standard" Ka LNBs nor any way to integrate them, short of a pre-made DirecTV assembly.

Oh, and the Alaska/Hawaii dishes are NOT cheap. You can get 99/101/103 on a single dish for about $500. You need a second dish to get 110/119, but most folks won't need those.

If you are into DIY you can look into fortec star dishes and try to mod it for a 3LNB ka/ku. No real dish big enough to do 110/119 also.
