View Full Version : ESPN's new scorebar looks good
i was flipping channels and noticed ESPN looks to have their new "Bottom Line" Scorebar working. It was supposed to have been on at the start of baseball season but it messed up the first day and they had to go back to the old one up until today. It's nice and clear to watch in HD. :D
It's blacked out in my area right now ... now I just have to remember to check it out later. :)

Finally saw this for the first time today. Is it the same as when they "tested" it a while back? I know some folks spotted it weeks ago when they first tried it out, but I missed it then.
I think I like it... it's hard to tell right now during the off-season of all the sports I follow most (not a baseball fan here).

Didn't they pull it a few weeks ago because it wasn't working right?

Yes, as mentioned, they were supposed to debut it some time ago, coinciding with the opening of the new LA studio and Baseball season. The new look ran for a few hours that day and was pulled. Reports around the web said it was due to technical issues with the systems that run the bottom line.
also on espn2I did check ESPN2 last night but it looked just like their regular "bottom line" ticker.
I just checked again and the same ticker is on ESPN and ESPN2 ... are these the "new" tickers? Still looks like the old one to me ...

I hate those things, wish there was a way to turn them off.
