it's still a POP mail.. runs and store eveything on your pc..
Yes it will handle multiple accounts (actualy better than win mail).. It will have separate inbox, outbox, deleted for each account listed on the side..

Its not outlook and its not hotmail.

It is the later generation of "Outlook Express" and actually is pretty good for a simple email program..especially now that it uses more standard ways of storing the mail (unlike Express did).

Best now would probably be to use Thunderbird though. Once windows 7 comes out Windows Mail and other programs wont be included by default, but will be free downloads.

Grentz,
I've been trying to love Thunderbird, but I still dislike it - a lot.

Ya, it is a bit different and takes some getting used to. Make sure to check out the skins as well if you are just having trouble with the look. (there are some that even look like Outlook Express)

In any event, Windows Mail is very good too. The only thing Windows mail is not the best with is IMAP, which is where Thunderbird is much better. POP3 they are both fine though.

I actually dont use any local client anymore, I just use my Google Apps webmail open in a browser window all day...I like the gmail layout and email threading ;)

I don't know if anyone cares but there is Windows Mail, that comes with Vista, & Windows Live Mail, which is a free downloadable program. Windows Mail is almost exactly like Outlook Express. Windows Live Mail is more of a hybrid.

Grentz,
I've been trying to love Thunderbird, but I still dislike it - a lot.

I also tried Thunderbird without much luck. I couldn't get it to work with two accounts. It kept grouping all the messages into one inbox. Probably operator error.

It is almost too complicated at times. I especially get annoyed at the account setups with multiple accounts so I can see how you potentially had issues.
