Season one is about to expire (7/19), so what's the deal? Anybody heard if Season 2 is going to become available in VOD in SD Crap-O-Vision? I won't even mention HD...(GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!)

I would imagine so. The third season should be airing soon.

The second season is also now available on Blu-ray and DVD.

Netflix has it already on disk, not on Instant Watch.

Perhaps when Season 3 starts in August they'll make Season 2 available in VOD. Wonder what's keeping them from offering it in HD? I understand there's some political hassle over getting AMC-HD signed up as a channel, but what's to keep them from providing HD versions in VOD?

The same thing that keeps other non-cable television providers from carrying AMC-HD. Cablevision won't sign contracts. Just because it's VOD, doesn't mean the political hassles don't still apply.

Yeah, nasty old cable is trying to hold onto anything exclusive they possibly can. Guess I'll have to get me one of those $98 Blu-Ray players at Wal-Mart.

Just got my first Mad Men season 2 blu-ray disc rental from Netflix. Great picture and series! It doesn't get any better than this.

Yeah, I guess D* is not going to make any more HD channel moves until the next sat is up and running, and that could be early 2010! Blu-Ray here I come. I better get one of those Netflix-ready Blu-Ray jobs and kill two birds with one stone.

Try again. Mad Men 201 to 213 is VOD. I assume the 2 stands for Season 2. I also see a VOD: Mad Men: Best of Season 1

They just finished rerunning Season 2 on AMC a few weeks ago. They were probably waiting for them to be finished before putting the season on VOD.
