Just had my HD DVR installed this past Thurs. Installation and tech. were great. The model I received is HR22-100.Had a great offer where I did not have to pay for anything. Have a question on networking using ethernet adapters. Can you use the Powerstrip in one connection and the wall mount adapter at the other connection? Is it best to purchase the adapters from D* or go online and purchase?
DIRECTV is offering a pretty great deal on their HomePlug adapters (they have to as E* builds them into their HD equipment).

Yes, you can use the Powerstrip on one end the wall mount on the other. Just make sure that you do not plug the wall mount one into a powerstrip/surge protector. People have posted that they have had network issues when doing that. Also, I believe the units themselves state to not do that.
As for where to purchase from, many people here have purchased direct from DirecTV and the price is very competitive. Many people have also purchased from Amazon.
There are many discussions here as to whether the 85Mbps units from DirecTV are fast enough or if people should be using the 200Mbps units that are available on Amazon. Take a look at some of the other threads here to help you decide. Some things to consider is if the outlets the units will be plugged into are all on the same breaker or not and also the age of the electrical lines in your house.
