KTVU 2 San Francisco Bay Area Fox sound synch issues

For a number of weeks now, I have had a problem with the sound being out of synch on "Mental" recorded from KTVU, the Fox affiliate for the Bay Area. Since we are not recording anything else from Fox, I don't know if it is just "Mental", if I'm the only one having the problem, or if it is a more generalized problem seen on other shows on KTVU.

One week, the screen went momentarily blank yellow and it appeared they had almost fixed it.

Anyone else seen this problem?

I want to get it fixed before the fall season starts.

I haven't noticed any problems on KRIV in
Houston. I just checked this week's episode. and it was okay as well.

I also am recording Mental right now on KTVU and it has definitely had and still does have sync problems. The only other thing I'm recoring on KTVU is the Simpsons and it's fine.

We need to know if the problem is exclusive to "Mental" but there aren't any other new filmed series shows on Fox right now. If someone is recording reruns of "Bones" or "House" or "Lie to Me" it would be good to know if you are or are not seeing audio sync problems.

I just watched mental here from Baton Rouge,La fox44 and definitely no problems.

I contacted E* about this, they say they are aware of the issue. For what it's worth.

I also get KTVU...I've noticed this problem occassionally on prime time shows - I don't watch the one you are referring to, but watch others. The biggest problem I have had is on TNT, which others have reported.

It's Summer again, time for another audio problem on a Bay Area local. And its July, time to fix the audio problem before Fox begins its fall season.

The only show on KTVU we are recording (ViP722 L6.18) this Summer is "Mental" on Friday evenings at 9 pm PST and it always has audio synch problems. It is the only new filmed series showing on Fox.

I have started a thread on DBSTalk.com specific to this problem KTVU 2 San Francisco Bay Area Fox sound synch issues where members have indicated that it isn't a problem in other DMA's but others see the problem on KTVU.

One member said he has contacted you and you said you are aware of the problem. I thought that might be the case as one week the screen went momentarily blank yellow and it appeared someone had almost, but not quite, fixed it.

Obviously, a problem that many customers see with one local channel in one DMA is not a DVR software problem but a problem somewhere between KTVU's feed to your uplink and the satellite.

Please arrange to fix this before the Fox Fall Season begins. That will avoid having numerous September posts on the thread reporting that you told a customer you are "aware of the problem."

METhis is somewhat similar to the email I sent on August 25, 2008 regarding the significant audio dropout problem on Fox and ABC which was fixed, sort of, with L6.16 in December 2008.

I've seen this too. Can't remember what show(s), but not this one. (Virtuality movie not too long ago maybe?)

I noticed this issue on the So You Think You Can Dance result show on Thursday the 9th. However, I did not notice it last week. SYTYCD is the only show on Fox I watch during the summer, so I don't know if it happens on other shows.
