View Full Version : SWM signal strength
I have an HR 22 w/SWM. I understand what the signal strength means for the 101,99,103,119 but was does the SWM signal strength mean? (if that question makes any sense)

That's the SWM FAQ and it has some good info and links.

"one thing" they show is the quality of splitters/cables from the SWM.
If you lose SAT feed the SWM levels also go to zero, so the SWM needs to get a signal first, but "say you're using" cable splitters, that are rated to 1 GHz, you could see drops in the last three channels.
There is a SWM installation meter that will test cables/splitters that are buried in the walls, but this screen would work for end users moving/installing their own.
