U.S. Patent Law sucks!
I believe there has been an uptick in these kinds of patents, not just by Microsoft but others as well, do in large part ti the success of patent "trolls" companies formed for the sole purpose of acquiring patents that may allow a patent suit against someone with deep pockets... that and take it to the rather infamous court in Texas that seems to have lost it's mind...
