View Full Version : 722k - missed recording glitch

Last night I had my 722k set to record 2 SAT events & 1 OTA event at the same time.

Something made me go check what was happening during this and I found that the BBCA (135) Torchwood was in the queue, but it showed a blank screen on when I went there. It never indicated it was actually recording it either.

At the same time, the OTA event was recording, but the signal wasn't good, so it was missing much of the program. Not a really big deal as I have my D* HDDVR set to record that same program (luckily!)

the other SAT event recorded fine.

So during an ad, I reset the 722k and restarted the good recording and didn't miss much of it. Then I went to BBCA and it had good signal and picture, but I had missed a bunch.

Set it to record the later showing. Checked this AM and it showed it skipped that later showing because it was already recorded. The history shows that the earlier one had recorded but was stopped (the reset). So how the heck do I get this to record the 2nd episode (the one missed) this evening? Or is it going to 'skip' that one too?

Also, while this was going on, I hit PIP to do my checking. The 722k wouldn't come out of PIP until after the reset. I would've pulled some hair out if I had some!

suggestions, help????

thanks

Go to your Daily Schedule and select Timers.
Select your Timer Event for Torchwood.
Select Timer.
Select the timer you wish to restore. You will be offered options. Choose the one you want.

I did that last night for the later showing of episode 2 and it skipped it claiming that it had already recorded it.

Press the DVR button three times and you will see the current schedule. If the event says Skipped, select it and then click the Restore button.

That's what I did. But it then decided to skip it anyway 'cause the DVR thinks it already recorded it, even though there isn't even a partial of it on the HD.

known bug on 722k:
When you are recording and delete something from the external HD, it will cause one or more of the recording streams to freeze. It will finish and say it has the right length, but when you play it back, it will get to a certain point and the pic will freeze. You can FF to the end but the pic will not change.

If you don't have an external HD, this doesn't apply.

Either way, I would let Dish know about it.
