Channel 398 FOXe in HD is available today and is on for Cardinals @ Phillies.

Fox 5 News is on right now at 9:20 p.m. Central Time here. They must have forgotten about leaving it on when they turned it on for the ballgame this afternoon :D

Does anyone know why these channels sometimes appear on Saturdays? This was not the first time the Distant Feed has been turned on. Earlier in the baseball season FOXe was turned on then all at once for 4 or 5 weeks they weren't turned on and then all of a sudden yesterday FOXe Channel 398 was turned on. I thought we weren't supposed to ever see Distant Feeds when Locals were available to us. So Why is it if we aren't supposed to be getting them why are they turned on Suddenly? I feel like we should either get them all the time or they should quit playing cat and mouse with us and just leave them turned off all the time. :confused:

Sometimes whenever a city's local ABC, FOX, etc. goes out they turn the DNS on. I don't know if they have to get permission first or if it's a blanket thing like with the O&O stations from years past. I wouldn't say it's a cat or mouse game, but if my local FOX goes out and they turn on FOX DNS so people in my area can get programming, that's mighty cool of them.

Are the WEST channels ever open?

Being in the NYC DMA I already have all the EAST feeds so its of no benefit to me. If the west feeds were open then it would be a plus.

Yes the west feeds are available from time to time to. Last year during the NFL season I noticed alot of DNS feeds on. Almost each Sunday.
