question? what does on the upload 0.37 MB/s mean? is this bad compared to others? also what does ping 57/ms mean? regards.. i have verizon internet.

.37MB/s means that you're able to upload roughly 370k. or .37 megabytes, per second. Your ping time is the time it takes for a very simple request to get somewhere and back

If you're paying for 384k DSL then you're getting the speed you are paying for. You might look at your bill though, because you might be able to get more speed for less money.

He said that was the upload speed, not the download.

.37 is not good in the grand scheme of things. Some of the cheaper services now offer 1MB at least.

I think you mean 1Mb. Not many companies are providing 1MB upload.

That sounds like you have 1.5/384 DSL. It may be that you can't get any better speed because of your particular location, but you may want to call them and check. In some areas, Verizon offers a 7Mbit DSL.
