This is the best news I have herd in a long time. Great move by DISH!
Should be enough incentive to get HD hardware...
A lot of people here have 110 "for the local channels".
Hope to see more channels uplinked to our spotbeam. So much bandwidth.

I have a 311 SD receiver, now and I want to see a channel 54 and new latino package channels as 842, 849, 851,852, 860. but I don't receive this channels.

I was wondering if other people are having most of the HD channels in red here in Puerto Rico since last night. I called CS @ Dish and they told me this was "expected" due to the changes in HD programming for PR starting August 1. The thing is that I was able to see all of them yesterday PM but now they are in red (except for HD PPV). Is this true or they are lying to me? Everything is OK with my account. Both VIP 211k are activated for the Puerto Rico HD package and I am able to watch all other SD channels, including locals. I was very happy yesterday with all the new HD channels but happiness lasted a few hours for me :nono2:

There are approximately 40 HD channels in the PR HD package, most of them were added this week. The thing is that even they are scanned by the receiver at least I am unable to see them (alias they appear in red). I called Dish again today and they explained to me that this is expected and tomorrow we will have all channels available for viewing. Hope that is true!

Then I have bad luck or Dish is lying as usual. The worst customer service ever. I will wait until tomorrow and see what happens.

The same happens to me. I do the switch test with good results, the receiver rescans the channels and I have the 40 plus da*m HD channels but they appear in red and I cannot watch them. I will wait until tomorrow, which is the Dish customer service alternative and then we will see...

The BIG deception, the 6 spanish channel are not in HD. the only HD i found over internet was NATGEO but is part-time.

Problem solved! I called DISH and they had an incorrect HD tier activated in my account. I had the "HD Platinum" package, intended for the US, while this 29 channel package is called "Puerto Rico HD".

that right, GREEN, WGN and CI those channel are not part of the HD package
