SkyReport:Verizon on Wednesday announced that, in an effort to boost its DSL broadband service and lure users away from cable, it would begin offering free subscriptions to NFL Sunday Ticket for new customers who sign up for one of its DIRECTV bundles
The out-of-market football package usually costs about $300. What's more, the promotion will overlap with Verizon's free Compaq netbook or Flip camcorder deal, allowing new subscribers to claim both the NFL package and their choice of CE devices. To qualify, customers need to sign up for service by Aug. 15 and activate it by September.
