Howdy:
I setup a Dish Network VIP 622 receiver for a friend about 1.5 years ago. At the time dual mode worked fine and my friend was able to view channels independently from TV1. Fast forward to this month and TV2 no longer functions correctly. Dual Mode is correctly enabled and I can confirm it via the top info bar and status lights on the front. However, TV2's video input just mirrors TV1. No matter what channel TV1 is on, it shows up on TV2. Single view is greyed out in options as it should be when dual mode is enabled.
To make matters worse the UHF remote doesn't respond at all. If I hit a button on the remote a light flashes on the VIP 622 so I know it's getting a signal. I've replaced the batteries and tried switching the A/B channels. I confirmed the VIP 622 TV2 remote option is setup as UHF.
Is the DVR hosed and needs to be replaced or am I missing something here? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
