Cool. You'd think they'd let us know somehow...

WOO HOO! It's sometimes extremely difficult to pick up WWHO-HD OTA from here in Westerville.

Columbus, Ohio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_from_Columbus,_Ohio) - the city that gave us Archie Griffin, Jesse Owens and Randy Savage. Congratulations guys, especially on the PBS in HD.

Tell me about it. We have 2 PBS stations here in Charlotte. I was told when PBS HD gets turned on it would be the Ch. 58 one. I had to accidently stumble across the other PBS channel, 42, to discover it had started being carried in HD. Not even a mention here on DBSTalk.

Then it would have to have given us Leapin Lanny Popov as well ;)

Damn! I saw the headline, but missed the 'DirecTV' part. Rats.

I was hoping that Dish had finally added WBNS (CBS) in HD. PBS-HD would be nice too, but I have an OTA and don't watch it much. And, Dish already has WWHO (CW) in HD.

I just really want WBNS in HD on Dish, because I watch a lot of CBS programming and the HD programs recorded OTA take up 3x as much hard drive space as satellite MPEG4.

Actually, I posted about channel 42 and the addition of PBS channel 30 to the HD Locals -City by City What Available thread when each one launched. :)

WWAT... WWHO... lived here since 1980 and I don't think I ever turned on that channel..

(signed on as WWAT August 31, 1987 morphed to WWHO in '94)

Did/Do you still have access to PBS on Rabbit Ears? I moved closer to Downtown without my tv being hooked-up since July 12th. I did a rescan and now don't have them OTA.

As of right this minute, yes, 34-1 works.

I did notice that some shopping channel was added to my custom guide list, but again, was never notified of the new HD channels in my market. I realize they make money off those channels, but if you can auto add channels, why not add locals as well?

I was going through my Subscribed threads and came upon this one. Anyone know if they're planning to add any more locals? Looking for Channel 23. Trying to check out my homeboy Steve Harvey on the Family Feud.
