WGN AMERICA HD

About two weeks ago I noticed that the HD version of WGN AMERICA had disappeared and that I only had the SD channel. Does anybody have an explanation for this action .:mad:

It's still there on my receiver, maybe just a glitch on yours, have you tried the usual litany of soft reset, hard reset, check switch and see if any of that restores it? If it didn't call Dish, maybe you just need a re-hit to your receiver.

I bet that you have Turbo HD like me... If so, around July 22nd, Dish moved 2 STZ channels, ENC, WGN, Green Channel and a few others from Sat 61.5 to 77. And guess what? I am in VT and I can't get 77 with the 1000.4 dish so can no longer get those channels that they moved to 77! I have not called Dish, but usually talking to them is pointless so I need to talk to the local dish installer about getting a separate dish to point right at 77 with hopes that it will give me enough signal. Right now on 77, 13 and 77, 32 I get 0-11% signal and most of the time it's about 4%. FYI, WGN is on 77, 13. Good luck.

I have 61.5 and no 77. I have not lost any HD channels. I am not sure what you are basing your info on.

Do you have TURBO HD bronze, silver or gold and have an eastern arc install in the Northeast? If so, go to channels 239, 340, 351 or 352. They will say that they are on sat 77, 13 (for 239) and sat 77, 32 (for 340, 351, 352). IF you can get sat 77 then you are all set. Way up here in VT near Canada we can NOT get sat 77 with the 1000.4 eastern ARC dish and Turbo HD. Near NH or Mass some people can pull it in with signals in the low 20's. I show 0 to 11% for 77. All these channels USED to be on 61.5, 21.
