I've got a new house and a new MP4 DTV HD DVR and only have one drop per location. I want to swap the existing dish set-up out so I can get two tuner support at all locations.

I currently have the following equipment.

(2ea) Directv HR-22 HD DVR
(1ea) Hughes SD-DVR40

(1ea) DirecTV SWS8WB-P 8-Way High Frequency SWM Splitter
(1ea) DirecTV PI-21 POWER INSERTER for SL5S SWM LNB
(1ea) DirecTV SL5S SWM 5 LNB

I think this is all I need to get SWM at the HR-22 but how do I get two signals out of the single SWM cable to the Hughes HR-22 units which are obviously not SWM compatible. What else am I missing?

I'm also a bit confused about the proper wiring sequence for my set-up. In my hours of searching the forums and web I can't find anything quite like my set-up and want to be sure it's correct prior to install

Any help please. Thank you much.

LNB --- single line --- PI --- SPLITTER --- IRD

The hughes box is not going to work in any way unless you get a SWM8 Switch.

Any help please. Thank you much.Is this the antenna setup with the single wire coming from the LNB vs the usual 4 cables from a multiswitch?
If so it is not compatible with your Hughes DVR, which requires two legacy inputs.
If you just had to have the Hughes DVR connected then you would have been better off to have gotten the standard 4-cable slimline with a separate SWM8 (http://www.solidsignal.com/prod_display.asp?main_cat=02&CAT=&PROD=SWM-8) that has legacy outputs.
Why not get a new compatible DVR to replace the Hughes?
