Hi Everyone!
I asked this question in another forum, but I figured the MDU expertise here might be better suited to answer my question.
I had my DirecTv installed in my apartment last week with an HR23-700 in the living room. Our building is DirecTv-Ready and does support HD since it's brand new.
Nonetheless, I only have one coax cable running into my HR23, so I'm only able to record or watch one channel at a time on this box. The problem is that all the walls only have one coax output for the cable box. I'm under the impression that I need to coax cables running into the HR23 for it to function as advertised.
My living room does have two coax outputs routed (as does my bedroom), but they output as on opposite walls in each room.
Is there a simple solution to fix this issue? Would splitting the single coax from the wall fix it?
In my master closet where the wiring resides, I believe there is one cable coming from the DirecTv closet (in the halls on our floor) which runs into a splitter with one cable from my living room connected for my HR23 and one from the bedroom for the H21.
