Hi there, considering switching to Directv. Can anyone tell me for sure is it possible to install the 2 tuner recievers with one cable run like Dish network? my situation makes this a requirement.
Thanks in advance for any info.

It is possible with a SWM ( Single Wire Multiswitch ) setup. But not all orders will qualify and not all tech can install them.

This would depend on how many "receivers" you're planning to get.
If you order has 5 "tuners", you can get a SWM system that uses one wire. If you're only looking for two DVRs, then you'd need to buy it yourself.

To replace my current Dish setup, I would require 1 HD DVR and 2 SD DVR's.

This setup should qualify you for a SWM install, but there are no guarantees. Your best bet is to pickup a SWM LNB and power inserter from eBay or SolidSignal and see if the installer will install it if he comes with a standard LNB. YMMV.

You can set up any of the DirecTV DVR's to work with just one coax cable...but if you don't have an SWM (single wire multiswitch) and a compatible receiver you will only be able to activate one of the two tuners.
With one HD and two SD DVRs you are very likely to get a WB68 rather than an SWM, as not all SD DVRs are SWM compatible.
