Cool! I can download but am not yet able to get a key.
Be on the alert for a hotfix to correct a memory leak in chkdsk (http://www.betanews.com/article/Windows-7-RTM-build-released-to-MSDNTechNet-subscribers/1249578645). Not a show-stopper, but some bloggers are playing it up as the end of the world.
I'll be logging in to MSDN later to grab my copy - I ain't afraid of no leaks! :)

Microsoft is currently trying to confirm the problem is reproduceable in heneral or tied to some specific problem..
At any rate... it will not affect single drive systems, nor drive "C" in multiple drive systems.

Speeds are pretty descent right now too. That chkdsk error is nothing to be worried about. I've tried to reproduce on several different machines and haven't had one bluescreen. I have a feeling it is tied to a specific USB chipset and specific driver for that chipset.

My speeds are about what they were for the RC. It will take 6 or 7 hours to do the download.

I have a very fast connection (20mb+) and the download started at 800+kb, but it has slowed down now and is coming in at about 250+kb.. this is to be expected on the first day. I am downloading 64bit Ultimate right now, I will wait a while to do the others.
I'd be more worried about the Homegroup/Permissions problem which so far Microsoft hasn't even acknowledged. Do a search on "Homegroup Windows 7 Permissions" and see the many problems people are having. Make a change to your homegroup settings and lose access to your C: drive. Talk about messing up your world. I, and many others, have spent hours trying to recover and most of us are still having issues. A complete reformat and new install seems to be the only fix.
Other than this, Windows 7 is a great, fast, and good system. The touches are nice, the speed is good, compatibility is better than Vista, and operations are smooth.

Yup, it's slowed down quite a bit now as expected. Assuming this one finishes, I'll wait until late tonight or tomorrow am to download the 64 bit version.
Sounds good, I plan on getting a technet sub when I get back at the end of the month.

The download speed has got to be the worst I have seen on opening day for an OS... I have a high speed connection 20mb+ and right now I am getting 126kb... probably another hour til completion.
I'm actually pretty happy with the download - howeving at about 180kb which right now could be limited on my end. Also no issues getting to msdn and launching the download like there were for the RC. Besides, it gives me time to backup my machine while downloading.

I pay my ISP for 30Mb down service, and this afternoon I was dropping to 48kb for extended periods! It's not at 105kb and just over 34% after downloading for well over 5.5 hours. Still has 5 hours to go for Ultimate.

Lucky bastard... I have a 20 mbit cable connection and I'm finally hitting above 70 kb/s. I've had it downloading all day long at 30 kb/s or less :nono2::nono2:

For those with the Technet subscription and you want faster downloads...
Using advice I saw elsewhere, I clicked "Top Downloads" at the top of the Technet page (using IE). It prompts to download the Akamai Download Manager. Be patient, I had to do it 2 or 3 times to finally get it to download. Going that route my download speed is 2X to 3X what I had before with the Microsoft Download Manager....I was upwards of 900KB/sec (fluctuates from 600KB to 1.3KB). I got the Ultimate in less than 35 minutes. In that same time span I was 12% complete with the MS Download Manager.
I also noticed that the Ultimate and Enterprise editions are only available through the "Top Downloads" page....they moved them this afternoon.
Great suggestion. I had forgot about that download manager. Works much better. Comes down in the 1.1 to 1.4 MB/s range.
Was using the MS FTM and went to bed with Win 7 64 having 5 hours to go and had Office 2010 beta in the que to download. Woke this am to find it had been interrupted and was not done.

I've tried both the Microsoft download manager & the Akami & both are really really slow this morning.
Office 2010 Beta -- is that on the general site, or do you have to be part of a Beta program.

As of this morning I noticed the Win7 downloads are available in the Top Downloads area, and let me tell you ... it's flying. I downloaded over 10 gigs (Ultimate x86, x64, Pr x86, x64) in around 42 minutes. (I had to install a new Akmai download tool for the Top Downloads area, but if you go back to the regular download listing it still uses the old Akmai tool.)
So tell your friends ... if they want to download, go to thje Top Downloads area - it's obviously optimized...

I don't think it's on the general site; I think it's still part of the technical preview beta program.

Office 2010... it is in an extremely limited technical preview, we are not even talking Beta as yet.
The software looks interesting, seems to work well and there are some significant changes to Outlook in this version... which will probably change drastically by the time it gets to Beta.

Larry, when you are officially able, will you please give us some information on the changes in Office 2010 & especially in Outlook.

One thing I can tell you now is that Outlook has finally been given the new Office Ribbon treatment in the menu area and it actually works very well, giving far better an easier access to the most used menu items than the older style menus did.
