Hey guys,
I posted about a month ago about trying to get DirecTV in my apartment. A lot of people said it would basically depend on my installer as to whether they would do the things necessary for me to have D* in my apartment. I face the right direction and I have several neighbors with satellite TV. My landlord doesn't want me to drill exterior walls (although I see several of my neighbors disregarded this and plan to fix it before they move out)
I'm trying to get the wiring to a TV in the living room and another TV in the bedroom or in the loft - without having loose wiring all over the place. I understand that many factors play into this and am fine with paying extra for a custom install. I was unable to find any reliable independent contractors in the Northern VA area to come out so I am hopeful if I am willing to pay and maybe tip the regular installer he will do it for me. I am also hopeful he will consider using flat wiring to go under a window or the stationary part of the sliding glass door.
Is there any additional advice you guys could give me? I have the form signed by my landlord but am stressing something will not work out - and I HATE Cox Cable with a passion. (My only other option)
