Hey Guys,
I've been lurking on these forums for a while but this is my first post. I currently have an all SD setup at my house for Directv. I installed the dish and ran teh cables myself at my new house when i bought it 5 years ago. I am ready to make the jump to HD but i had a few questions:
1. I really don't trust anyone else to work on my house except myself, if i was to call directv and ask them for a new dish and receivers, would they send to me so that I could install?
2. If I was to purchase the equipment, do you think they would reimburse me?
3. I have experience installing the 3lnb dishes, is it that much harder to isntall the 5lnb?
4. If I get the AU9-5lnb dish with 4 cable outputs, is it fine to use the original rg59 cabling?
Sorry for all the questions, its just that I've read so many horror stories about installers that I just don't trust anyone else but myself to work on my house. If I end up needing a good isntaller, can anyone recommend someone in the Chicago region?
