View Full Version : How long does it take to see ATT discount on Directv bill?

I am a current Directv customer. I called to opt-in with ATT to get the discount on my Directv bill. Was told if I bundled I would get $5 off Directv, $5 off interent, and $10 off cell phone ($5 per line). I called Friday, 8/7/09. How long should I expect it to take to start seeing these discounts?

Give it a couple of days. if you do not see it by the start of your next billing cycle, give them a yell and see what happened.

When they first started my $10 off a few years ago, they lost the request. I had to call and call to get it corrected. Once it started, my Directv bill will appear on the site, then maybe 7-10 days later the $10 will be applied. Sometimes I will pay too early and then the next bill will be $20 less because the $10 had not been deducted yet.

I called on Friday 8/7 to bundle with AT&T and they said it would take 2 billing cycles. I told him my statement was on 8/9 and he thought I would see it on my 9/9 statement. Also, unlike the first time I called, he said they would still be on two separate statements.

Hey guys- pardon my ignorance but did you call DTV or ATT customer service to get this discount? I have DTV and ATT Wireless but no internet with them, do you think that it will still apply?

I was told I would be getting sperate bills. One for ATT phone and internet. Another for ATT cell phone. And another for Directv. I called back around March and was told that bundling was not avaliable for me because I was already a Directv customer. I noticed on Directv's website that current customers who had ATT could get $5 off Directv. I called and was offered $5 of Directv and internet and $10 off cell phone ($5 per line). Had to add long distance at $4 per month to my ATT home phone but should be worth it if these discounts take effect.

in answer to your question, if you are a current D* customer and already have ATT for home phone and/or internet, you need to call ATT and request to "opt-in" to integrated billing with the $5/$10 discount (depending on above services).

Also, ATT Wireless is *NOT* bundled with D* at all.

I called in a few days ago to get the discount. The customer service rep told me that I would be getting the $5 discount and seperate bills. He then stated that Directv will be on my AT&T bill in September. Not sure if he was correct on this or not.
I also did not have to give them my Directv account number. They had all of my information in the system already.

I called Directv and skipped all the bottom level CSR's and asked to cancel premium movie channels. Then when the lady came on the phone I told her I would like to opt-in with the ATT discount. She said to hold on the line and she would get an ATT rep on the phone with us (A three way Whoo-Hoo:D) Anyways after a couple minutes it was done. I was told it would take a couple of billing cycles to see the credit.

As promised, my $5 credit for bundling was posted to my D* account today (9/7). My last statement was on 8/8 and the discount will appear on my 9/8 statement. So officially it took 2 billing cycles to appear.
