I would call them on the phone rather than trying to do it online.

Yeh I just did that twice and both reps said there currently is no free IRD promo.... I wonder if there is a way i can print screen the screen and email it to someone

I went to that page and I read the offer differently. If you PAY for a DVR receiver, you get in addition a free upgrade to a DVR or HD receiver. If you PAY for an HD receiver, you get in addition a free upgrade to a DVR or HD receiver. If you PAY for an HD DVR, you get in addition a free upgrade to an HD DVR with the indicated packages. Sounds like you need to have another receiver that you want to upgrade at the same time. Also, I note that each offer has an asterisk (*), and who knows what that indicates.

I don't think these are upgrade or free offers for existing customers. Those offers look a lot like the "new customer" offers. Since there is an asterisk next to the offer, I suspect D* forgot to provide the details at the bottom of the page.

Then that would be false advertising.

Correct and in some states it is a law they have to uphold what the offer says

Even if you can force them to honor the deal, what's the incentive?

As it is clearly labeled as an upgrade offer, I would imagine you will have to deactivate and return the receiver being upgraded. Not to mention, I'm sure it comes with the typical two year commitment.

This was discussed in a previous thread. We came to the conclusion that you have to upgrade an SD receiver to HD DVR to get this offer.

I do not see that conclusion there and I have 2 SD boxes to upgrade so that idea doesnt float

Well, I just went again today to check out the wording of the offer and noticed that my account does not have it listed anymore... I'm wondering if it had been displayed in error...
