I currently have an old standard (black box) receiver, TiVo DVR, 2 HR10's, and a HD DVR for a total of 5 boxes. My TiVo and HR10 (is that right HR?) are acting up and must be reset every once in awhile. Actually, I own all the boxes except the HD DVR but I know the "lease" is the way now.

I have two HD big screens and would like another HD DVR for sure or at least a HD receiver. Is is possible to call and get some replacements due to the old receivers I currently have at no cost?

I have been kind out of the loop on offers and possibilities and would appreciate any help.

I am a long time customer, HD package, premium channels, etc.

Thank you.

You may be able to replace one for free, but you'll never know until you call and ask. Deals vary.

If you have HD Access and have not suspended your acct recently you most likely should have received an offer to replace the HR10 with a current mpeg4 capable HD DVR so you can receive all the current HD offerings that the HR10 is not capable of getting. But you will need to call and ask.

If you have the Protection Plan, you might be able to have your Tivo and HR10 replaced if they are not working. They would be replaced with like models in that you would get a SD-DVR for the Tivo and a HD-DVR for the HR10. You need to show that your current boxes are not working though. If the PP replaces the boxes, the new ones will still be owned.

If you just want to go the upgrade route, as Spartanstew stated, you'll need to call and ask to get an accurate picture as to what offers are available to you.
