Since it now appears that DirecTV and Dish Network will have to carry all the
stations in the DMAs they serve (you can reword that statement to your liking
if you want), I do have one request: When DirecTV announces the incoming local
stations that will be added to its lineup, can someone alert us here?
I'd like to know what's being added -- and on what channels to look for them (I have an older receiver that shows locals on 800s and 900s) -- as soon as
possible. I'm in the Detroit DMA, am perfectly familiar with local stations here, but want to check as to whether all Detroit locals -- not just network
affiliates but independents as well -- will show up, Jan. 1, 2002.
