HR20-100 w/ Seagate 1TB -Strange blank recordings...

My usually flawless HR20-100 with Seagate 1TD Freeagent pro has started acting strange...Some of the programmed recording on my playlist (recorded in tha past 48 hours) show a complete recording in the information mode, but when I try to play them back, the recording is either blank or go directly to "delete / do not delete". Some programs from the same time period recorded fine.
The Seagate is recording..I can back up and pause, etc and manually record.
I was away for two days ... and came back to this situation.
Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The first thing to try is to reset your receiver. That has a tendency to correct this issue a lot of times. If that doesn't work, you can try a full power off as well (unplugging the DVR for 30 minutes). Make sure that you also power off/on the external as well in the right sequence again to make sure that it connects back to the DVR correctly.
