Giving away or selling an old D* Dish/receiver?

I just had my old sytem upgraded, but they left my old dish and receiver,, I'm curious what I'd have to do in order to sell it or I might just give it to one of my grandftahers, all he'd need is a pole , would he have to get another card?

I sold one last month. All you have to do is call Directv and have the receiver completely removed from you account. The new owner will have to purchase a new P4 card from Directv when they activate the receiver. It is $20 and will be sent by FedEx overnight. This worked perfect for me and the purchaser of my old receiver.
