I’m trying to add more receivers to my home... I have One dish HD dual tuner/tv receiver and one standard Dual tuner receiver. I have a newer dish network dish that was installed when i get the Dual room Hd receiver There is two wires coming into the house on the end of those are DISH Pro Plus Separators I’m wanting to add two more dish Network Dual tuner Hd receivers. I would like to do this myself as i like to use wall plates and im building on i can run my wire myself. I know i need some RG 6 3.0 GHZ i have that. and compression F connectors.

What kind of switch do i need? Would dish mail that to me?

What kind of wire comes from the Receiver to the HD tv? is that just rg 6?

Thanks

:welcome_s to DBSTalk!

You will need to add a DPP44 switch. Each LNB output from your dish will run to the switch, then from the 4 outputs to the 4 receivers. Use RG6 on all connections.

Dish's standard lease policy is to provide only enough receivers to cover 4 rooms, which you already have. Any extra, and the switch, are your responsibility to buy at retail. If you can get by with 3 receivers, and have a Dish 1000.2 or 1000.4, you won't have to also buy the external switch because those dishes have an internal switch for 3 receivers.
