I'm thinking about getting DirecTV, but I have a few hurdles to overcome first.
First, landscaping. I would have to put it on a 10-20 foot pole. However, I don't want it to look ugly. The pole would have to be covered in something, like astroturf. However, astroturf would not look good with grass, now would it? If not, what would you recommend? I live in the historic district, so that's a big must.
Secondly, I would have to have an antenna to receive my local channels. However, I have tall trees all around the property. What kind of antenna would I need? I would idealy need an antenna that is able to rotate up/down and left/right, but not 360°. Perhaps 180° or even 90°? Please advise.
Also, roof mounting of either the antenna and/or the dish is not possible, becuase the power line cxomes in from an angle. Thus, this would cause RF interferance.
I live in a 1925-era bungalow, so that's why I have to make all these exceptions.
Please see the attached file for channels I can get via antenna.
I used TVFool's interactive tv converage browser to get the results.
If you want to see the TVFool (http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=90) results for yourself, just PM me, and I'll give you the address info to plug in.
