My Dish Network reciever in my bedroom(3900) only has one set of rca audio output jacks so thats giving me a lot of trouble because I want to send audio to my tv and to my vcr.
Video is not a problem because the 3900 has in essence parallel video outputs S-Video and Composite video.
S-Video sends video to my tv, and composite video sends video to my vcr.
So it's like having 2 sets of video outputs.
However, I'm having a problem with the audio since the reciever only has 1 set of rca audio output jacks.
Well, will this adapter from Radio Shack fix my problem?
I'm thinking if I get 2 of these adaptors and connect one adaptor the to each rca audio jack on my dish reciever, then it will be like my 3900 has 2 sets of rca audio output jacks.
Will this work or not?
Does this adaptor only work as a splitter, or does it only work as a combiner, or does it work as both a combiner and as a splitter?
I'm thinking that the most common use for such an adaptor would be to combine L/R stereo audio from red and white rca audio cables into just mono audio for connecting like a Gamecube to a tv with mono av inputs or something like that.
So anyway, will this fix my problem or not?
