I cannot find any 1080p programing. When I first signed up for dish in May there was one crappy movie in 1080p. My uncle has Dtv and has had many to choose from. So I waited until the other night, I went to see what is being offered and nothing in ppv or vod was labeled 1080p. I checked the vod-ip and I can sort hd/1080p but nothing is specifically labeled.
I thought it was my fault, maybe I was looking in the wrong places, so I called dish to get some information. I really do loose years off my life every time I call customer service (that's on top of the 45mins the actual call is going to take). Their reps are usually very nice but know absolutely nothing about their own service or website.
Anyway, what is the status of 1080p programing? Where can I find it if there is any?
Thanks

Video Channel 501.
Thanks for the reply, but I've already checked and I get no VODs labeled 1080p or even HD.
No always one there, but there is never move than one. You need to keep looking for them there. Right now I am seeing The Unborn in 1080p.

Yeah, DirecTV has a leg up on 1080p offerings. However, DirecTV's 1080p is all PPV for 6.99. None of it is free.

What kind of receiver do you have and are you connected to the internet?
Usually there will be one 501 1080p movie, but sometimes there is not when they are rolling to a different movie.
There also are sometimes movies/tv in the DishOnline section if you are connected to the Internet.

I have a vip612 and it is connected via 30Mb/s cable.
Yea I've been looking through dishonline, I'm impressed with the number of movies offered but how do I determine if a movie is 1080p? I'd imagine it would be plastered all over it, right? 1080p should be part of the title, just like how its included in the VOD title?
It seems like the unborn is advertised as whats being offered in 1080p, but I have 5 VOD 501 channels and unborn is not even an option. I can order it in SD on PPV512-3.

Your receiver may just not have downloaded it yet.
My 501 VOD's did not fully populate in my guide on my 722k until I hooked up my unit to a phone line.

If there are any 1080p on DishOnline, they will be indicated with HD and 1080p to the right of the title. The easiest way to find them is to use the Sort button and sort by "HD/1080p" so they will all be on top of the list.
