When I selected view new posts it shows the threads at the top out of order of time a message was posted to that thread.

It is still doing this. I use the Opera browser. It does not show the times in order when I do a search for new posts, they are still all out of order. Is anyone else with an Opera browser noticing this? I never seen it do this on the old software.

Jacob it sounds like you have threaded views turned on.
Change it back to Linear and you should be all set. :)
You will see the words Linear Hybrid and Threaded up above the message on right, click on LINEAR. :D

I do have it on linear and always have. I have noticed that when I first view new threads that it does not do this but when I keep using the back button in the browser in Opera and reload the page on the new thread search it does this.

Don't use Opera. Stick with real browsers such as Mozilla or IE. I can't understand why people who use a crappy browser complain everytime it doesn't work.
Face it people. Its not my choice, but the web looks better on Internet Explorer.

I use Opera because it is a bit quicker. It did not do this until this new software was used. I found a fix for the problem, I have to click on new posts to update the new posts instead of clicking on reload (refresh) like I used to be able to do on the list of new posts. Netscape or those that use their similar interface is the slowest for me.

What is the use of using it if it doesn't work. You can't use it on ESPN, you are always having trouble with the damn thing. At some point its just not worth the .00001 seconds you get for using it.
There is a reason why vB doesn't really support Opera, they don't care. I'm a admin at another vB site and we get people complaining about Opera all the time. I tell them what I'm going to tell you. I use IE, if you use another browser, and it doesn't work, though. Time is too short to handle a small browser. :bang

That's how VB 3 works, I have to do the samething with IE6.

I do not have hardly any issues with Opera and like it a lot. Explorer is my second choice and I use it sometimes. It just depends on what I am doing on the web and where I am at. Since I have to click on so many posts I find Opera more convenient on this site. Since the N shortcut for New Posts is on all the pages that I view it makes it more convenient so I just click that instead of Reload now.

More convenient, really? It made it less for me, it's just a minor issue and my only problem with VB3. When at other website I would ocassionaly Alt+tab to the DBSTalk IE window and hit F5 to reload the new posts page and take it from there.

To each their own I guess. Opera is crap in my opinion. I guess I'm just tired of fixing issues with Aximsite.com to make things work for them. I actually use Mozilla Firebird, not IE, but I dont' complain when sites don't work...
Jacob, that wasn't directed at you. I just read what I wrote and figured I better let you know that was a general statement, not a comment about this tread.

I meant more convenient having the N there instead of having to go to the DBSTalk start page. It is not inconvenient than being able to Reload the page though as I could have done before. In other words it could be worse, could be better.
I think if I had a faster ISP my opinion may change on which browser would be better. Only having dial-up available sucks so I have to go for speed for the main advantage.

I've been using MyIE2 (http://www.myie2.com) as a web browser. It works using the IE interface, but is much more powerful, including tabbed displays and the ability to turn images on and off on the fly.
The sad fact is that IE is the predominate browser.
