Can current subs get any kind of special deal if they sign up for sunday ticket?

Anything's possible. Some have found success, most haven't. I got a good deal last year, but it was a couple of days before the season started.

I found success on superfan. I threatened to cancel when I found it would be $99 so they gave it to me for free. As far as the package goes Im paying the early bird offer in 5 payments.

There most certainly are deals for current subs, and not just for ST, or SF.
There is a running theory here with some that says that the value of the deals you get when you ask are driven by;
1.) length of time as a sub
2.) quality of your account, i.e. how much do you spend each month, account in good standing, etc.

This is only a theory however.
I can state from my years of experience with D* that a good retention CSR has always been a big help to me and getting a good deal.

Usually getting SF for free, and perhaps a discount on ST itself in the form of a multi month credit on my bill.

I remember 10 years ago when the renewal rate for ST was only $120.00!

Yep, and the average salary was about $1.1M, compared to $1.8M today. Costs always seem to go up.:)

It has nothing to do with how long you have been with D* or quality of your account. I have been with them since 1996 and pay over 150.00 per mth, almost 200.00 when NBA starts, and I did not get anything near what some were offered. What it does have to do with is how many credits and free stuff you have gotten before and are getting now. I am already getting 25.00 off per mth. 10.00 off HBO and 5.00 off Showtime for 6 mths and another 10.00 off for a year programing discount. This is why I could not get SF free. I canceled ST so now I am just sh*t out of luck unless I want to pay full price. Being a Rams fan I cannot see paying that much to just get pissed off every Sunday like I have for the past few years :-). So if you have not called in and asked for much you have a much better chance of getting a better deal. My son called and got 20.00 off for 6 mths and SF free, but he also has never called before to get any other deals.
Just my opinion of crs but that is the way I see it.

I have been a subscriber of directv since it's inception in 1994.
I sub to theit premier package, hd access, hd extra pack, dvr service, direct on demand, nba league pass, mlb, nfl sunday ticket and nfl superfan pass.

Every year, including this year, I have been able to get them to give me nfl superfan pass free, as well as continually have both a 20 and 10 dollar credit per month apllied as a discount on my account due to the now familiar "hiccups" on their system with their quirky software.

As a paying customer, being current on your bill, you have some pull so to speak in regards to credits.

I have also been successful with them fully reimbursing me for several hd dvr purchases from best buy and or costco as they have missed appoitments and or sent the incorret equipment in the past over the years.

Needless to say (but I'll state it anyways), as they so eliquently put it; being an A+ customer in good standing has had its fair share of payoffs thoughout the years....

So, to sum it up quickly; the more $ spent with them, the more pull you have.
