927- WMAE - Channel 2 - Northeast Mississippi's E Tv PBS Station
928- WCBI- Channel 4 - CBS - Columbus
929- WTVA - Channel 9 - NBC - Tupelo

What are the channel identifiers? I am looking for the two-letter code that designates your market. For example, here in Baltimore, WMAR ABC2 is listed at channel 982 as BA2.

CW2- 927 - WMAB- PBS Television Services
CW4- 928 - WCBI- CBS Television Services From Columbus, Ms
CW9- 929 - WTVA- NBC Television Services From Tupelo, Ms

Note. Channel 27 FOX WLOV- West Point, Ms and Channel 45 ABC WKDH- Houston, Ms aren't on the guide yet. I just noticed that The 3 Listed are on there today.

Note about the WMAB PBS Channel. On my Guide it lists that channel as PBS Service from Jackson, Ms. That Listing they have is inaccurate. WMAB Channel 2 is NOT From Jackson, Ms The Channels are blank and haven't had any programming on them yet.

This is great news. :)

Since some of the channels are uplinked, I will now reveal which engineer I have been talking to. It is Wendell Robinson. He is the Director of Engineering for the company that owns WTVA, WLOV FOX27, and WKDH ABC45.

He has said in the past that he expects all three stations to be carried. Since WTVA is uplinked now, that probably means that FOX and ABC will be up in short order.

As to the PBS coming from Jackson, this is probably the case. Each PBS station in Mississippi does rebroadcast the signal from the flagship station in Jackson. I thought that the weather warnings were tailored for each station, but that was wrong. I suspected that when other MS markets came online, Miss. ETV would just simply give them consent to remap the Jackson PBS to channel slots for the PBS station in their market.

I look for Columbus-Tupelo Channels to be on by The 4th of July. That's this coming up Friday. If not by then certainly very shortly after that. :)
