I've been using the original version of DTV2PC for some time. i don't really use it that much, but have noticed several new versions. So besides the obvious stability upgrades and Windows 7 support, what's changed? FWIW, I don't have a 1080p (only 1080i) display.

I ran the updated advisor and I'm all green, so it appears the new version will fly. Also, if I upgrade, what's the SOP: uninstall previous and install new, or install new over previous?

Thanks,
Andy

If you try to install the new version, it will ask if you want to uninstall the old one so you don't need to do that in advance.

You should be able to use the same key as before, but that appears to not work for some people.

I don't know what version you have/had, "but" the new version [over what's on the DirecTV site] will off load the MPEG-4 decoding to the video chip, which frees up a lot of CPU for other uses.
