View Full Version : No locals on HR20-700
The local channels are off on my HR20, channel 4, 6, 8, 13, and 59 from Indianapolis, yet the are on on the D11 and H21. Any idea what might be causing this?

When you say off, are they not in the Guide at all, are they grayed out in the Guide, or when you switch to them are you receiving a channel not available message? Have you tried rebooting your receiver through the Setup/Reset Receiver menu option?

Do you mean the LiLs (Local into Local, or via the satellites) or OTA are missing?
If OTA, is it possible that you got a firmware update that messed with your setup?
IF LiL both the H21 & HR20 should get them from the same satellite, so just a HR20 problem since the H21 is OK. Are the channels listed in the guide on the HR20? Tell us some more about the HR20 setup and troubleshooting that you've done so far.

My Indy locals were out on all my receivers this morning too. (771 error) They all returned around 8:00.

Yes, they show up in the guide, channel not available when I tuned to them, They are satellite locals, not OTA. Tried reboot, no help.
My Indy locals were out on all my receivers this morning too. (771 error) They all returned around 8:00.
I noticed it at about 5:00am, haven't been home to check since. Wierd that they were ok on the other two receivers.

That happened to me about a week or so ago. Could tune them in from my OTA but not off the satellite. I was getting the channel not available message. Actually came here to see if anybody else was having the same problem but I don't remember if anything was posted at the time. I just figured it was some kind of hiccup and later in the day the channels came back on their own.

Wow. I've been looking for that page for a long time. Although your link takes me to the page, can you please tell me how I find the page using the DirecTV web site menu navigation? I've gone all though it and can't figure out how to get there.

There's not an easy way on DIRECTV's web page, unfortunately.
Enter "Troubleshooting" in the search window @ http://www.directv.com
Click on: Troubleshooting - On-Screen Message - 721 (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPage.jsp?assetId=1300015)
Click on: clicking here (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/mydirectv/mysystem/mySystemResendAuthorization.jsp) where it says "Finally, try resetting the affected recever by clicking here (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/mydirectv/mysystem/mySystemResendAuthorization.jsp)."
