Need some advice. I'm trying to hook up the WGA600N gaming adapter to my HR20. The HR20 recognizes it and the setup screen pops up. I select "Configure Now" and it finds my wireless router. I hit "Continue" and it gives me "Please wait..." for awhile, but then comes back to the same screen. I've hit reset a few times and have tried to set it up using my PC. Neither of those have worked.

Not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

Any chance you have any sort of DHCP client limits or MAC address filters set on your router?

No DHCP client limits or MAC address filters.

I just managed to get past the continue screen by indicating that I wanted it to search for another SSID. I typed in the same SSID the HR20 had identified and it went on the Security Key screen. Seems to be bogged down there though. Weird.

If your router supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup, you can configure the adapter with that (no SSID or passkey to enter).

Thanks. Per the usual, it worked the 5th time I tried it. Still don't know what was wrong, but at least it's working now.

Update the firmware on it, the nconfigure it on your pc. I use to use it on H21 but since it was of no use there, I put it on my desktop and it runs great. Here is the link to the firmware.

You get a CD with the 600. All you have to do is follow the instructions exactly and it will work on an HR. I didn't have to do anything to the router or security features, it just uses the computer to format the 600. It's really very simple.

Some people with this problem, myself included, have had to hold down the reset button (in back) for about 10 seconds. This completely resets the WGA and will let the setup work properly.
