I live in a fringe area but have no problem with the 119 satellite . Signal strength for the non spot beam transponders averages 90%. different story however with the 110 . Have a 42 inch dish and replaced rg6 with rg 11 which has lower cable loss. Sat is sited wth signl meter and line of sight is clear and all connections are good The signal on echo 6 is good and trans 22 to 31 average 70%. The echo 8 trans 1 to 21 are weak except for 3with90%. This is therefore not an odd/even problem. Also note that signal strength on weak trans shows marked increase at night. This problem is only since last 4 weeks. and before this got all non spot beams. in line amplifier drops signal and causes pixelation. Any ideas? many thanks.

Where are you trying to receive this from ?

have you tried to switch the lnbs on the dish to see if the one on 110 has a problem?

The night versus day makes me wonder about sunlight causing some flex in some portion of the focal path. perhaps on the lens cover. ... if this were a problem then night time would cause cooling and contraction of some material ... just wondering out loud ...
