I went to do a PIP and got message that signal lost on Tuner 2 or some words to that effect.
Did a hard reset. Held power button down and upon reboot, it was still not working.
I pulled the plug for a few seconds and after reboot, all is well.
I promptly signed up for the extended warranty. ;)

I lost mine the pip on my 721 the day before yesterday and I had to do a hard reset to get the tuner back also. I have had the extended warrenty for a few years now : every since the dishplayer fiasco 3 or 4 years ago. It is a must have for anyone with a pvr and Dish.

it is a must for anyone who has a disk drive inside any piece of equipment if it is offered and is affordable.
Disks will always crash. If you can get a warranty, you are a fool if you don't do it.

My tuner 2 had got real bad last week and I was gone over the weekend and come home to find a different looking guide on my 721. I'm still at sw 112 but does anyone know are they two different looking guides out on the 721?I haven't saw any problems with tuner 2 for 24hrs now but it really sc***ed up over the weekend trying to record the busch race.It quit trying to record after 1hr then started again and recorded the rest of the race good.I'm wondering when it stopped and restarted is when I got the new looking guide.

How is the new looking guide differ from the one you originally had?
I have never heard anyone say that they would not recommend the extended $1.99 warranty.
