Hello - last night I went to http://directv.com/supercast to install the supercast air application on my laptop. I actually had rebuilt the laptop earlier in the day so it was working as brand new. Windows XP Sp3.
After going through the installer and clicking Accept to the last Air question it starts to install but quickly quits with the error message - "Sorry an error has occurred. The application could not be installed because the AIR file is damaged. Try obtaining a new AIR file from the application author.."
I tried this in IE8 and Chrome.
Today - now moved to my workstation with Windows XP SP3 also. Installing through IE8 and Firefox I get the same error messages.
Is the AIR file really damaged or am I just an unlucky person trying to install this on two seperate PCs?
-------------------
Update 1 - Working on Workstation IE8 now.
- installed AIR using Adobe's website. Tried again to install Supercast. Failed.
- Installed latest version of Flash from Adobe's website. Supercast quickly installed. Odd but well that's computers for you.
