I'm getting the Sports Pack and Setanta channels all of a sudden. Is there a free preview running?

Can't be, I signed on October 28 of last year. If it is a gift I want to exchange it for Playboy Channel instead. I hate Sports Pack, nothing but infomercials and blackouts.

I am getting it also and it is my "loyalty gift". If you look at the D* website it will be listed under the my programming and then under my services. I also think it is almost worthless, but I rarely so no to a gift. It would be nice to get playboy :D or even a movie package. Oh well. I could probably call and ask them to change it.

I live in cincinnati but the reds game is also viewable on fsn indian and fsn tennesee. the blackout it messed up

It's a free loyalty gift. I had it too, wasn't sure what it was. Had to call CSR for another issue, and asked, and mentioned that I wasn't a big sports fan. She switched it to 3 months free Showtime instead.

So if you'd rather watch movies than sports, give'em a call.

No it's not a loyalty gift it's a free preview. They didn't switch anything it's still on your account until the 16th. Glad they gave you 3 mo of showtime though.

I am looking for the steelers game vs the bears on sunday . It is not in the 700's and not on local where I live in Md . I get the Ravens game @ 4pm. It is in 380 -and 390. I don't get any of those channels?

Because that is a professional MLB game, you are blacked out unless you have MLB Extra Innings or are part of that particular market involving said team.

And do you really think it cost D* anything to give you free programming? Unless you were planning on subscribing and they said, no we will give it to you for free, it doesn't cost them a thing. Except maybe the 2 minutes of time to activate your receiver.

Um, they do give everyone a loyalty gift. Just got mine. It just happened to be sports pack. I am not saying that there is not a free preview right now, it just happens to be during the same time as my gift.

I for one, appreciate the Free preview. I have the MLB package and follow the Marlins. Usually the Cardinals are blacked out here, and the 3 day Marlin-Cardinals series would have also be blacked out. But noooo, the Marlins took 2 out of 3, and the only bad aspect was hearing the "mad Hungarian" and his misinformed info on the new Marlin stadium. He really should know what he's taking about, since he knows nothing about the "bad area" stadium site, as he uttered. Stick to baseball stuff, Al.
