Bad tuner or bad LNB?

I currently have two DirecTivo's and one HR20-700. It appears that both the DirecTivo's have a bad tuner but the HR20-700 is fine. One tuner on each DirecTivo is heavly pixelated and unwatchable. I assumed it was just a bad tuner, but if I watch spot beam locals on each tuner they both appear to work just fine. I tried reversing the cables to each tuner and the same tuner always experiences the problem. Could it be the lnb (slimline 5) or the multiswitch?

If you swap the two coax and the problem remains on the same tuner, it is almost certainly a problem with that tuner/receiver.

A common failure mode for TiVos is one failed/pixelating sat tuner.
