I live in a pegasus area and was with them previously and switched to DishNetwork so I could get my local channels. But I am finding it hard to buy a DirecTivo anywhere online. Most places refuse to sell to anyone in a Pegasus area. That whole NRTC stuff is stupid. I wish DirecTV National was here and I wouldn't have this issue. I have a DishPVR but you can't upgrade the Hard Drive on it and I so badly want more storage. I would switch back to DirecTV if I could find a good deal on two DirecTivo units.... Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Thanks,

Orbitsat will now sell Directivos to Pegasus subs. $199.99 for a one receiver system. (And yes, that's a ripoff compared to the price for a D* sub, but that's life).

"TiVo® and UltimateTV® products are not available for sale in Pegasus service territory."

Quoted from the bottom of the page.

See how much pegasus has screwed rural america.

Hmm... that's odd. If I punch in a Pegasus zip (12569), I get an offer for a $199 Directivo as well as some basic receivers. I know that used to be true, that they wouldn't sell to Pegasus customers, but I believe that's changed.

Of course, you could always get a Directivo on Ebay... Pegasus will activate one from there.

Buy a used one from an individual or ebay or see if Pegasus has a deal directly. Also check to see who your closest retailer is, that is your best bet.
